Even with E3 gone, we are not going to be saved from avalanche of trailers, announcements, summer festivals, broadcasts and showcases from smaller initiatives to the mega hype builders like Summer Game Fest or annual Xbox Showcase and Ubisoft Forward.
In total there are 18 summer showcases planned, including Steam Game Fest. These are scheduled around the similar time when E3 would normally take place – second week of June. Same as last year, these broadcasts were kicked off by State of Play by PlayStation, which was a bit underwhelming, but I am not here to judge the content of the pipeline (Astrobots FTW!)
At Game Conference Guide you can find all the broadcasts in the Showcase subpage, with dates & times and direct links to the streams. All these entries are hand-picked and updated after the showcase concludes with such details like the length in minutes for example.
Most importantly, if you do not want to miss any of these announcements, head over to the calendar, add the favourite ones or all of them into your schedule with one click.

GCG is not tracking just the summer showcases (notE3 + Gamescom in August), but I am adding these broadcasts throughout the year. So far, there are 85 of them. And based on the numbers Game Conference Guide is pulling, you like them a lot. Just last month, I have seen the record-breaking number of visits & unique visitors to date. Massive thank you.
It makes me beyond happy that this new feature has found its audience, especially as it started as a simple filter.
By now I will sound like a broken record, Showcases with Deadlines (tracking awards, pitching, festival submissions) and Events (main database) are going to be streamlined into the homepage. With one button you will be able to switch between these sections without leaving the currently open page. I am making last adjustments and I do hope you will be able to see the new features with a fresh coat of paint applied to the whole website soon.
So, what can you expect in coming days?
